En retrospectiva, siempre he comprendido de manera innata el poder de la mente sobre el cuerpo. De ni\u00f1o, pod\u00eda participar en varios deportes al mismo tiempo. Durante un partido de f\u00fatbol, me romp\u00ed el pie en la primera mitad. Gracias a mi gran resiliencia y determinaci\u00f3n, utilic\u00e9 mi mente para bloquear el dolor y termin\u00e9 el partido.<\/span><\/p>

La capacidad de canalizar mi poder mental y alcanzar metas contra todo pron\u00f3stico continu\u00f3. Me convert\u00ed en un corredor \u00e1vido. Sin embargo, en 2001, me ca\u00ed por unas escaleras, me lastim\u00e9 el coxis y me romp\u00ed dos discos de la columna. Necesit\u00e9 una cirug\u00eda ardua que implic\u00f3 quitarme los discos da\u00f1ados, realizarme una fusi\u00f3n espinal e insertarme varillas de titanio en la espalda. La recuperaci\u00f3n fue brutal, implic\u00f3 fisioterapia y volver a aprender a caminar. Empec\u00e9 con un andador y un aparato ortop\u00e9dico, luego pas\u00e9 a usar un bast\u00f3n y, finalmente, camin\u00e9 sin ayuda. Muchos, incluidos los m\u00e9dicos, me dijeron que mis d\u00edas de correr hab\u00edan terminado.<\/span><\/p>

Persever\u00e9 en mi proceso de curaci\u00f3n y en mi recuperaci\u00f3n general. Despu\u00e9s de todo lo que hab\u00eda pasado, intentar mi primera carrera de 5 km me result\u00f3 abrumador. No pod\u00eda terminarla, pero aun as\u00ed me negu\u00e9 a rendirme. Poco a poco, fui mejorando y complet\u00e9 una carrera de 5 km, aunque lentamente. Animada por este \u00e9xito, segu\u00ed entrenando y avanc\u00e9 hasta las carreras de 10 km, luego a las medias maratones (21,1 kil\u00f3metros) y, finalmente, a las maratones completas (42 kil\u00f3metros). Correr la marat\u00f3n de Los \u00c1ngeles fue la culminaci\u00f3n de mi viaje, lo que me record\u00f3 que todo es realmente la mente y no la materia. Podemos alcanzar nuestras metas a pesar de los desaf\u00edos y de las probabilidades en nuestra contra.<\/span><\/p>

Me he dado cuenta de que esta mentalidad se aplica a todas las \u00e1reas de la vida, incluida la salud, la carrera y las relaciones. Nuestra forma de pensar no solo determina los resultados, sino que tambi\u00e9n influye en c\u00f3mo disfrutamos de nuestro camino en la vida. Mi experiencia de dar vuelta situaciones dif\u00edciles me ha proporcionado el conocimiento y la experiencia para ayudar a otros a aprovechar el poder de sus mentes y cuerpos. Me encanta guiar a mis clientes hacia avances y \u00e9xitos invaluables.
