At first I wasn\u2019t sure what hypnosis and these sessions would be like- nor do I know if it\u2019s the same for everyone else- but let me explain how my sessions have been, just in case you\u2019re curious.\n\nThe first half or so of the session we discuss anything happening in my life\/ things I am struggling with\/ or just what I would like to focus on. Grawben always has such pertinent questions to draw out more information and to really see what I am saying in a new and truer light. The insight from the \u201ctalking portion\u201d is valuable in itself. But after we talk (and she takes notes) she basically freestyles a hypnosis that is specifically tailored to you and what you need to work through from that session. Let me be clear- I was worried that during hypnosis I would have \u201cno control\u201d or say something I would regret later but it\u2019s almost like a meditation, all you have to do is relax and listen, that\u2019s it. Sometimes I would fall asleep other times no, but part of the work is listening to the hypnosis audios (she records them and sends them to you) on a regular basis between sessions to truly shift things in your subconscious and if you fall asleep during them (which I do most of the time) it\u2019s actually great, so I love that about it.\nI had tried other forms of therapy before, but they didn\u2019t really do much for me. Because of my upbringing I have had a lot of limiting beliefs so that\u2019s what I really wanted to heal and talk therapy doesn\u2019t reach that level because our beliefs are deep and hardwired- hypnosis targets the subconscious where these live. The sessions have helped me build boundaries, speak up for myself, grow my self-worth and self-love, deal with loss and grief, and become more aware of when I am disregulated.\n\nAnyway, I definitely recommend hypnotherapy. Grawben is of Hispanic background as well (she also has sessions in Spanish) if that is something that you are looking for. I know that for me (being of Mexican background) the fact that she understood a lot of my family dynamics made a big impact on me because I really felt validated. I was a bit skeptical about doing a remote session because I had only done in person sessions with other hypnotherapists in the past. But the results from just a single session have been great. My default anxiety level has dropped from being too high to normal. I listen to the recording on most nights and I feel it helping me a bit more every time. I was really struggling for a few weeks after a recent incident triggered some bad memories and since our session my anxiety has come back down and I don\u2019t feel it weighing me down anymore. She\u2019s the real deal and helped me with the trauma I was suffering from losing my father a year and a half ago.\n\nOne of the things that makes her truly special is her NRT or Neurosymatic Reconditioning Technique. It\u2019s basically the opening and closing of your chakra during her session.
