What is Reiki?

The term “Reiki” comes from the Japanese words “Rei” (universal) and “Ki” (vital energy). This form of therapy is based on the belief that life force energy flows through all living beings. When this energy is imbalanced, physical or emotional discomfort may arise. Reiki practitioners use hands-on healing to channel and transfer energy, aiming to balance the body’s energy centers, known as chakras.

How Does Reiki Work?

Picture a serene session: You are fully clothed as you lie down on a massage bed in a relaxing dimly lit room with soothing soft healing music playing. Your reiki practitioner hovers their hands over you or gently rests their hands (with your permission) on strategic chakra points on your body, allowing energy to flow through them into you to remove any blockages. That universal life force is aimed at alleviating tension, promoting relaxation, and stimulating the body’s innate ability to self-heal. The goal is to cause deep healing and harmony on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. Crystals and oils may be used as an option to assist with the energy vibrations.

Reiki is the perfect add on to your hypnotherapy sessions as it aids in putting you in a flow state. Having an improved flow of life force energy can enable healing on all levels as it reduces symptoms of illness. It removes blockages in a similar way to acupuncture or acupressure.

How many reiki sessions should I do?

You can receive reiki as often as you’d like since it is considered a spiritual practice. You are welcome to space out the sessions based on your needs and schedule. Studies recommend trying out at least 4 sessions a month apart, this way you can feel the restorative benefits of the practice.

How will I feel after reiki?

After a reiki session most people report feeling refreshed with clearer thinking, a boost in their energy levels, increased feelings of gratitude, enhanced sleep, relief from physical and emotional pain, more mobility, more relaxed, and a greater feeling of well-being overall.

It is also important to note that everyone’s experience may be different. It is not always the case. Once stuck energy clears, a person can sometimes feel a release of emotions (sadness and anger) and pain. It depends on what the person had been holding onto. A rebalancing process is natural and normal.

Reiki can never do any harm. It is completely safe.

Know that all sensations, experiences, and emotions are beneficial in helping to teach you where to bring in more balance. Reiki balances you on all levels. All mental and emotional states come to your awareness to be overcome, managed, controlled, and released.

Do remote reiki sessions work?

Yes. Your Reiki practitioner will use specific symbols and intentions to send Reiki energy across distance and time. This method is based on the principle that energy is not limited by distance, as Reiki energy can be guided by intention and visualization. In doing so, a connection will be made that will focus on clearing your energy field and restoring you to balance.

It’s important that you be undisturbed so that you are able to relax and be able to receive the energy, just as you would in an in-person session. The experiences of distant Reiki vary from person to person, but many report feeling warmth, tingling, relaxation, and a sense of emotional release or wellbeing.

Does Reiki substitute traditional medical treatment?

While Reiki has been recognized for its potential to enhance overall well-being and can be advantageous in managing a wide range of medical and psychological issues such as headaches, anxiety, heart disease, cancer, immune issues, and epilepsy. It is not a replacement for conventional medicine. Individuals seeking treatment for medical or psychological conditions should continue consulting with qualified healthcare professionals alongside receiving Reiki. Reiki therapy is designed to complement traditional medical treatments, amplifying the effectiveness of psychotherapy, surgery, and medications.

Our past life regressions are 2 hours long. They are longer than our regular hypnotherapy sessions because we want to make sure that you have plenty enough time to have a full experience.

Because these sessions are longer, we do not record them. We can record them with the voice memo option on your phone for you.

If you have never done hypnotherapy or some form of meditative experience before, we suggestion, you first sign up to experience hypnotherapy. That will then prepare your mind for the past life regression experience.
