At first I wasn’t sure what hypnosis and these sessions would be like- nor do I know if it’s the same for everyone else- but let me explain how my sessions have been, just in case you’re curious. The first half or so of the session we discuss anything happening in my life/ things I am struggling with/ or just what I would like to focus on. Grawben always has such pertinent questions to draw out more information and to really see what I am saying in a new and truer light. The insight from the “talking portion” is valuable in itself. But after we talk (and she takes notes) she basically freestyles a hypnosis that is specifically tailored to you and what you need to work through from that session. Let me be clear- I was worried that during hypnosis I would have “no control” or say something I would regret later but it’s almost like a meditation, all you have to do is relax and listen, that’s it. Sometimes I would fall asleep other times no, but part of the work is listening to the hypnosis audios (she records them and sends them to you) on a regular basis between sessions to truly shift things in your subconscious and if you fall asleep during them (which I do most of the time) it’s actually great, so I love that about it. I had tried other forms of therapy before, but they didn’t really do much for me. Because of my upbringing I have had a lot of limiting beliefs so that’s what I really wanted to heal and talk therapy doesn’t reach that level because our beliefs are deep and hardwired- hypnosis targets the subconscious where these live. The sessions have helped me build boundaries, speak up for myself, grow my self-worth and self-love, deal with loss and grief, and become more aware of when I am disregulated. Anyway, I definitely recommend hypnotherapy. Grawben is of Hispanic background as well (she also has sessions in Spanish) if that is something that you are looking for. I know that for me (being of Mexican background) the fact that she understood a lot of my family dynamics made a big impact on me because I really felt validated. I was initially looking for a hypnotherapist, then saw that HEAL YOURSELF LA offers body coding. Never heard of it before, but it intrigued me. Reading the description I felt called to do a session. After my first session with Jennilyn, I was amazed how fast it worked! I started seeing, feeling, experiencing the results right away. I did a remote hypnotherapy session with Sasha to help with my anxiety and some past traumas that keep coming back up. I was a bit skeptical about doing a remote session because I had only done in person sessions with other hypnotherapists in the past. But the results from just a single session have been great. To help my congested mind, I booked a session with Jennily. During our session, Jennily was able to identify and release blockages and trapped emotion in various organs of my body. I have seen other hypnotherapists in the past, and Sasha definitely stands out from the rest. She’s the real deal and helped me with the trauma I was suffering from losing my father a year and a half ago. One of the things that makes her truly special is her NRT or Neurosymatic Reconditioning Technique. It’s basically the opening and closing of your chakra during her session. Another point that makes Sasha unique is that she records your session and actually sends you a link for you to hear and to use while working on yourself individually. Her hypnotherapy was fine-tuned and specific to exactly what I needed. Sasha’s approach is gentle, caring, credible and she makes me feel like I’m talking to a best friend!
